Rev. Alicia M. Hudson


One who believes she is anointed for a time such as this, Rev. Alicia M. Hudson, is one who will not stop until everyone has heard of the Awesome Power of Jesus Christ! An ordained preacher, teacher and motivational speaker are just a few characteristics that she embodies. She is affectionately known as "Rev. Lisa" who is known for her charismatic and relevant presentation of the Gospel, that is sure to captivate any soul with such poise and authority given under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

A native of Quincy, Florida, daughter of Ms. Doris J. Black and the older of two siblings (Lakaysha Black), she came to know the Lord at a very early age. She is a graduate of Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) in Tallahassee, Florida, where she received a B.S. in Biology Pre-Medicine and a Minor in Chemistry. She is a graduate of Payne Theological Seminary in Wilberforce, Ohio where she received her Master of Divinity. Rev. Hudson is currently a doctoral student with a concentration in Pharmacology/Toxicology at FAMU's College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, where her current research focus is on breast cancer prevention.

Rev. Lisa accepted her call into ministry in 1998 and was ordained an Itinerant Deacon in 2006 under the leadership of the late Bishop McKinley Young. Rev. Hudson was elevated to the office of Pastor in 2007 in the Marianna District, where she meet her life and ministry partner, the Rev. Bernard E. Hudson. Together they currently serve as the pastoral team at Arnett Chapel AME Church in Quincy, Florida, where God is doing awesome and mighty things in the life of the church and ministry. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated.

She is currently employed with Florida A&M University, where she serves as the Program Manager for the FAMU's National Science Foundation Historically Black Colleges and Universities-Undergraduate Programs that focuses on increasing interest, diversity and retention of STEM majors.

Revs. Alicia and Bernard are proud parents of one talented and loving daughter, Kailar, whom they love dearly. She fervently believes in the divine authority and power given to us through the Holy Spirit. Not wavering in her faith, Rev. Lisa firmly believes in the power of prayer and that through God ALL things are certainly possible to him that believe! Forever grateful and humbled by how God is ordering her steps, she believes that greater is coming!
